DIANA LU - Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Image Global Impact, Creator of WE Inspirations, author of Daughter of the Yellow River and expert on cross-cultural business.

From a deprived childhood during China’s Cultural Revolution, Diana has achieved a life of financial and personal success. Initially trained as a doctor, she developed her keen business savvy in the hotel management and real estate industries en route to becoming a successful entrepreneur and business woman in the fiber optics industry.

After moving to the United States in 1997, Diana founded her own sales and marketing consulting company to help Western companies, including Fortune 500 firms, to expand their markets into China. In a mere two years, she transformed the unknown Chinese optic fiber manufacturer and grew its revenues from zero to over $100 million in market value. Now that market she built is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Diana was the only female and the youngest entrepreneur in this growing high technology industry. She then expanded her product range and market territories, branding and selling telecom components and other industrial products in US and European market.

Retiring from the telecom industry at age 34, Lu continued her pursuit of new fulfilling adventures. With the help of a strong team of established and internationally experienced experts, she founded Image Global Impact (IGI) in 2004 to help entrepreneurs navigate the hazards of establishing a successful business cross-culturally in the West and in China.

As a fashion fanatic, Diana found that it is quite difficult to find something that's classic, stylish and wearable, but adds a little oriental twist especially for well-educated and highly successful ladies with different culture background. Therefore, the idea of WE Inspirations stemmed out of the need to satisfy such diversified consumers in US both western-minded consumers and eastern culture influenced consumers. Her goal is to embrace cultural differences as well as global partnerships in that, each WE Inspirations piece is an integration of the West and the East, applying Oriental details and classic Asian embroidery to invigorate the classic pieces such as traditional ball gowns, as well as cocktail dresses and professional suits.

Inspired by Diana’s keen eye of style, WE Inspirations intertwines the sophistication and styles of the West with the artistry and aesthetic of the Far East and is a celebration of women's elegance, versatility and grace.

In 2006, IGI successfully published Diana’s autobiography Daughter of the Yellow River which has been distributed in more than 200 countries in two languages. In this book, Diana shares her remarkable personal and professional story. This inspirational book—part memoir, part guidebook to personal and business success—describes her journey from an impoverished childhood to global entrepreneurship and offers dozens of principles on how one can live a vibrant and fulfilling life while forging a rewarding career. Renowned author Deepak Chopra calls Diana’s book “a testament to perseverance, determination, courage, and success.” Daughter of the Yellow River achieved top rankings on Amazon.com and bestseller status in Singapore, Beijing, and Shanghai and is a selection of the Forbes.com Book Club.
